# What are the field/column names in FinnGen?

The readme file provided with each release will give more information about the content of the data, as it is subject to vary between releases.

You can check the field names (if they're on the first row) for yourself in text files (e.g. in Sandbox Terminal Emulator) using:

`cat /path/yourFileName.txt | head -n 1`

Or, for a zipped file,

`zcat /path/yourFileName.txt.gz | head -n 1`
