Disease Specific Task Forces and Interest groups

One of the main focuses in FinnGen 3 is to deepen our understanding of the factors contributing to disease trajectories. This work is carried out by disease specific task forces.

To study disease activity, progression and treatment responses, we will leverage genetics and other omics profiling to establish a robust evidence based aimed at: a) understand which genetically identified targets may be suitable for halting or slowing disease progression, b) guide the administration of personalized medication, c) improve treatment responses in treatment resistant patients, or d) prevent secondary events in specific patient groups.

The Task Forces that were launched in the spring of 2023 are listed below. Core efforts are invested in official Task Forces (in bold). The rest will continue as Interest groups, led by partner efforts.
