#### Description <a href="#description" id="description"></a>

The Finnish Rheumatology Quality Register description can be found [here](/finngen-data-specifics/disease-specific-task-forces-and-interest-groups/rheumatic-diseases-task-force/finnish-rheumatology-quality-register.md).

The medications data includes, among other things, active ingredients and ATC-codes of medications, dosage used, start and end dates for different dosages, and data on adverse effects the patients have experienced.

The registry data has been collected from three different monitoring programs (BCB, GoTreatIt, RaiQu), and the data has been harmonized from three slightly different formats into one format.

Part of medication name data, administration route data, dosage data and adverse effect description data has originally been free-form text in Finnish, and for majority of this data, translations from Finnish to English have been done and the free-form text has been converted into a structured format.

Start and cessation dates of medications and last updated dates are given as they exist in registers.

Duration of medication use has been calculated from the difference between cessation date and start date, or the difference between the date of last registry update and start date, if available.

If missing, ATC codes of medications have been added. In the case of ATC codes having been changed for the medication, the latest ATC code has been used.
