# EA3 study: Oncology – Ovarian cancer study and data in Sandbox

Expansion Area 3 (EA3) studies aim to acquire additional clinical data centered around specific diseases through biobanks.

**Aim:** The oncology deep phenotyping studies of three cancer groups (breast cancer, ovarian cancer, prostate cancer) aimed to utilize electronic health record data of these cancer patients to better characterize the histology of these cancers, high-risk genetic variants and relevant biomarkers for disease progression, and utilize this data for genetic analysis of the three cancer groups.

**Methods:** Data was captured at four biobanks: Helsinki, Borealis, Central Finland and Eastern Finland biobanks. Database searches were done for structural pathology data, such as tumor primary location, histological type, grade, stage, and residual data. In addition, laboratory database searches were done for CA-125 values, as well as for high-risk genetic variant information.

**Data:** The ovarian cancer data has been placed in the Sandbox and is available for analysis. The ovarian cancer samples are from DF12 and the data has been collected from 3/6 hospital biobanks.

**Most up-to-date data from all biobanks** can be found from:
