# What is "Green" Data?

#### FinnGen "Green" data includes FinnGen's core analysis results that do not contain any individual FinnGen participant information.

Typical examples of these results for each FinnGen release are

* GWAS association summary statistics run for the FinnGen endpoints (*FinnGen PheWAS*)
* Finemapping results of all genome-wide significant loci in FinnGen
* PheWAS and statistical colocalization results between PheWAS loci and eQTL data

The green library **also includes** other useful documentation, such as **translations of medical codes.**

### Accessibility

The green library is **accessible to anyone with an `@finngen.fi` account** and results can be downloaded to users’ local machines (see [Accessing Green Data](https://docs.finngen.fi/finngen-data-specifics/green-library-data-aggregate-data/how-can-you-download-green-data)). Green data can be downloaded to your personal computing environment of choice for e.g., meta-analyzing FinnGen summary results with other GWA studies.

### Restrictions

The only restriction is that for each FinnGen release, there is a one-year publication embargo on the data within it (see [The 1-year "exclusivity period" policy](https://docs.finngen.fi/publishing-finngen-results/genemal-policy-of-1-yr-exclusivity-period)). If you intend to publish data before the embargo has been lifted, you must first apply for approval from the FinnGen Scientific Committee.
