# Risteys

[Risteys](https://risteys.finngen.fi) is a useful web portal for understanding FinnGen [endpoints](/finngen-data-specifics/endpoints/finngen-clinical-endpoints.md) and [laboratory measurement](/finngen-data-specifics/red-library-data-individual-level-data/what-phenotype-files-are-available-in-sandbox-1/kanta-lab-values.md) data. Risteys contains data from both [FinRegistry](https://www.finregistry.fi) and [FinnGen](https://www.finngen.fi/en), making it easy to compare the data from both sources side-by-side.

Whereas FinnGen is enriched for diseases and contains **10% of the Finnish population**, which is [**genotyped**](/background-reading/imputation.md), FinRegistry was a research project with a population sample of **\~7 million individuals** (everone alive in 2010 and their parents) with highly similar phenotype data to FinnGen but **no genotype data**.

On Risteys, you can look up any FinnGen endpoint and obtain:

* **Endpoint Definition** (e.g. *which ICD-10 codes make up the endpoint*)

* **Similar endpoints** on Risteys: In addition, it is possible to navigate endpoints by a subset or superset of cases for the current endpoint.

Risteys also has a section showing the **association between an exposure endpoint and death (FinRegistry data)** and a **Relationships between endpoints** section presenting **survival analysis results from FinRegistry and genetic analyses results from FinnGen**.

On top of the page, Risteys provides links to the [Endpoint Browser](/working-outside-the-sandbox/endpoint-browser.md) and [PheWeb](/working-outside-the-sandbox/link-to-how-to-use-pheweb.md) pages of the endpoint opened in Risteys. The [Endpoint Browser](/working-outside-the-sandbox/endpoint-browser.md) is a tool to visualize hierarchy and relatedness between similar endpoints. The [PheWeb](/working-outside-the-sandbox/link-to-how-to-use-pheweb.md) provides GWAS results for the endpoint.
